IFBOA Certification Boosts Image and Value of FBO's
Bedford, MA - September 19, 2007
New Industry Standards Aim to Reassure Existing Customers, Gain New Ones
"What service-conscious pilot and/or aircraft owner would choose an un-certified FBO over one that has met and voluntarily complied with rigid industry standards?" asks John M. Wraga, Jr., Executive Director of the IFBOA (Independent Fixed Base Operators Association).
"Member facilities certified by the IFBOA have emonstrated compliance with over three dozen critical areas," Wraga explains. IFBOA Certification Standards, says Wraga, require independent FBO facilities to be IFBOA Members and to "measure up" to new standards in the following benchmark categories: Customer Service; Line Service; Quality Control; Safety and Security.
"In addition," notes the advocacy group's Advisory Board Chair Kevin Walsh, "For an IFBOA Member to achieve this highly desirable level of certification it must meet certain industry accepted operational provisions."
"We believe," Walsh says, "that only by having this IFBOA Certification, this seal of approval if you will, can an independent FBO expect to gain the trust and respect that comes from reassuring existing customers of quality and value service, and to be more competitively positioned to attract new customers."
"IFBOA Certification," sums up Executive Director Wraga, "translates into tangible benefits for our members, their employees and their customers."
Interested independent FBO's are urged to contact Wraga directly at 781.860.7400 for additional information, and to check the www.IFBOA.Aero website for membership details, ongoing news of service program availabilities, and industry happening updates.
