IFBOA Celebrates 600 Member Milestone

Washington, DC, October 18, 2016 - The Independent Fixed Base Operators Association (IFBOA) today announced it reached the milestone of 600 members. The IFBOA membership is comprised of FBOs, flight schools, repair stations, aircraft management, and other airport-related businesses.

One of IFBOA's most popular member benefits is its Workers Compensation Insurance Program, which provides competitive pricing and savings in the form of a Good Experience Return (GER). The Program announced a GER that exceeded 20% last December and provided over $4.6 million dollars in savings to participants since 2011. IFBOA also offers shipping discounts and savings on FBO, MRO, and telecommunications packages.

"Surpassing the 600-member mark is a major milestone adding to the foundation of the important role that small businesses play in general aviation. This accomplishment was made possible due to increased participation in the IFBOA Workers Compensation Insurance Program," stated Jake Legere, Manager of Membership and Product Development at IFBOA. He continued, "More and more companies see the benefit of our unique association that treats many small businesses as one larger entity, providing the resources, and buying power enjoyed by large organizations. We look forward to developing more savings opportunities that will add value to the IFBOA membership experience."
